New Insurances Accepted at Empower for Elders

Empower for Elders now accepts Kalos and Elderwood insurances to make it easier for caregivers to enroll their loved ones.  Empower for Elders is a social day program for older adults whose caregivers need a break.  Attentive, paid staff provide socialization and meaningful daytime activities as well as assistance with personal care.  In addition, Empower for Elders holds a monthly support group for caregivers.  Participants do not need to have an intellectual or developmental disability.  For more information, please contact Karen or Neeka at (716) 371-0728 or ksmith@empower-wny.org.

New Insurances Accepted for Physical Therapy Services

Empower’s Physical Therapy clinic now accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield and Independent Health insurances to enable more people to receive treatment.  At Empower’s Physical Therapy clinic, a New York State licensed Physical Therapist evaluates an individual’s ability to perform gross motor skills (such as sitting, walking, running), postural assessment, muscle strength, joint range of motion (flexibility), balance and coordination.  To schedule an appointment, please contact Jeannette at (716) 297-1478, x189 or jarchie2@empower-wny.org.
