2019 Golf Tournament Raises $23,000
Empower’s 2019 golf tournament had 80 golfers, the most in the event’s 27 year history. It was a chilly, but sunny day in which participants enjoyed fellowship and being outside while convening for the shared purpose of raising over $23,000 for Empower services and supports.
Following golf, the Mary and Neil Gruppo Service award was presented to Evans Insurance Agency Vice President Ron Miller for his role in helping to protect the health and safety of the people who work and participate in Empower’s programs.
Attendees then enjoyed a more informal dinner that offered many different entree options including a raw bar.
Following dinner, emcees Keith Radford and John Murphy encouraged guests to outbid one another on many high quality items. They also announced the golf and raffle winners.
