Empower is hiring direct support professionals to assist people with intellectual disabilities. Our mission is to empower the people we serve to live their best lives by promoting independence, community inclusion, and help them to lead productive lives. The positions are in residential settings throughout Niagara County.
Minimum qualifications – H.S diploma/G.E.D, Valid N.Y.S driver’s license, 18yrs of age or older. Must also complete fingerprinting, clearance from NYS Central Registry for any indication of child abuse, and NYS Justice Center clearance. The clearance checks have no
cost to applicant. All paper work is completed at Empowers Administrative Office located at 9812 Lockport Rd, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
HIRING
Full-Time – 40 hours set schedules – days, afternoons and midnights
Regular Scheduled Part-Time – Positions range from 20-32 hours per week with set schedules – days, afternoons and midnights
Part-time – Hours could range from 16-40 per week. Schedules based on your availability, must be available at least 16 hours; 8 of the 16
must be on Saturday or Sunday
Full-time – Includes 10days vacation per year and also average 32hours of paid time off every 12 weeks.
Regular Scheduled Part-Time – Accrue Vacation time and PTO based on hours worked.
STARTING RATE $10.67 PER HOUR. A 20cent ($10.87) increase after 90days and another .21cent ($11.08) increase after six months.
Also you have the potential to become certified with in-house training on Medication Certification and after completion of the course will
earn an increase of $1.15-$1.25 depending on the location of work.
