Navigating the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) service system can be time consuming and frustrating. Our service coordinators can help alleviate your stress and do some of the legwork.
Do you have questions about your child’s development, but aren’t sure who to call?
Are you a caregiver looking for day programming for your child, who will be graduating from high school?
Are you looking for an advocate within the disability service system?
Do you need help identifying the best programs and services to fit your needs, or those of a disabled loved one?
Do you have questions about New York State’s Front Door Process?
We work with each individual and his or her family to identify appropriate services and supports, including:
- Adaptive technologies
- Home modifications
- Social Security, Medicaid, and other benefits
- Other I/DD (intellectual or developmental disability) services including recreation, respite, job readiness and placement, and in-home services.
To be eligible, a person must have a documented diagnosis of a developmental disability before age 22, and be Medicaid eligible.
