Employment Counselor (Full-time): Assist individuals with disabilities who are ready to work in the community to obtain jobs, cultivate and communicate with employers, and conduct follow-along services with both employers and employees. Requires an Associate’s Degree in Human Services and two years’ experience in developmental disabilities and job placement.
Special Education Teacher
Substitute Special Education Teacher
Speech Language Pathologist (Full-time): evaluates and provides speech therapy services to individuals birth through adulthood enrolled in the education and clinic departments. Requires a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology and approval to complete their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY); or license in NYS and have CCC’s or be eligible to be licensed in NYS. Also, candidate should possess a positive attitude and be flexible in adapting therapies to patients’ needs.
Teacher Aide (Full-time): perform a variety of duties to assist the classroom teacher in a variety of settings under the daily direction from the Special Education Teacher in the classroom. Require High School Diploma and GED, a patient and kind demeanor and an enthusiasm to work with preschool age children.
Substitute Teacher Aide
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (Full-time): under the supervision of a Licensed Occupations Therapist, performs the following tasks: functional assessments, group and individual therapy, goal achievement, documentation, communication with families. Requires an associates degree and ability to establish positive rapport with people served and adapt therapies based on patients’ needs.
Quality Assurance Administrative Assistant (Full-time) Associates’ Degree in Business with one year experience in a professional office. Two years’ relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement with a high school diploma/GED. Ability to lift at least 10 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation. Excellent verbal and written communication & organizational skills. Must have excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, database software, internet and email. Ability to handle sensitive, highly confidential material without compromise.
Direct Support Professionals (Part Time to start): Responsible for the health, safety and well-being of individuals with disabilities. Requires HS Diploma/GED, valid NYS Driver’s License with acceptable driving record and at least 18 years of age. Must be available 16 hours per week (8 of these hours must be on the weekend).
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (Full Time-Community Housing Division): Requires Associates Degree, valid NYS Driver’s License and registered as a COTA in NYS. One year work experience as a COTA and working with the developmentally disabled population preferred.
