Halloween Fun at the Children’s Academy

Lots of Halloween fun was had as Children’s Academy students went trick or treating throughout Empower’s headquarters.  The children’s variety of costumes and beaming smiles brightened staff’s day and was wonderful.

Elks Lockport Lodge #41 Sponsors Harvest Fest at Empower Children’s Academy

A huge thank you to the Elks Lockport Lodge #41 for funding Harvest Festival activities which included a carriage ride with real horses.  The children (and adults) had a wonderful time.

Farm Animals Visit Empower Children’s Academy

On Wednesday, October 3, farm animals including sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, llamas and a pony visited the children at Empower Children’s Academy.  Students got to pet the animals and to learn more about them, including how to feed and care for them.  It was a truly special experience for everyone.

Children’s Academy Participates in Community Trick Or Treat Events

Empower Children’s Academy participated in several community trick or treat events, including the Boo Bash at the Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls.

Alison Spagnolo Receives Tommy Caserta Award at the Annual Dinner

Alison was selected to receive the Tommy Caserta Award because of the enthusiasm and joy she shows during her interactions with Children’s Academy students and their families.  Congratulations, Alison.

Children’s Academy Staff Honored With Years of Service Awards at Annual Dinner

James & Pauline Yarger Receive Family of the Year Award

James and Pauline were selected as Family of the Year because of their involvement with their son, James III’s education.  James attended Empower Chldren’s Academy for two years and now attends kindergarten.  The Yargers utilized the expertise of Children’s Academy staff, including special education teacher, Shailaja Kokil, to ensure that their son had all of the support he needs to learn and grow.  Congratulations and good look to the Yargers.
