2018 Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State Award Winners

Natalie Rogers Employee of the Year Award

Diane Baehre, Empower’s Director of Program Operations & Quality Assurance, was selected from a competitive pool of nominees to receive the Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State’s Natalie Rogers Employee of the Year Award.  Diane upholds the highest standards for the health and safety of people with intellectual or developmental disabilities whom Empower supports.  Her diligence and commitment to excellence are second to none.
Congratulations, Diane, on this well-deserved award.

Incidentally, this is the second year in a row that an Empower staff member has been recognized at the state level. Last year, Kim Kiely received the Roger’s award.

Staff Recognition Awards

Each year, Empower honors four staff members at the Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State’s conference for their outstanding work at Empower.  This video profiles this year’s honorees; Karen Bailey, Laura Wedge, Jennifer Burns and Lori Argo.  In keeping with the conference’s theme, which is Imagine, we asked each honoree to imagine their lives without Empower, and, in turn, we asked their supervisors to imagine Empower without them.  Here is the result!
