Channel 7 Films Live at Empties
Channel 7’s Thuy Lan Nguyen visited Empties for Empower Military Rd. location on Tuesday, October 23 to film live segments between 5 and 7 am. She helped Empower spread the word that bottles and paper give purpose to people with disabilities, who earn a wage and learn job skills while handling the public’s materials. Thuy Lan was so wonderful to work with and instantly bonded with workers with disabilities who were present.

Each month, a person is recognized for progress they have made in various job training and day programs. All 12 honorees also were showcased at the internal awards dinner, held on September 18. Not pictured, but also celebrated was Michael Garrison. Congratulations!
Danelle Hillman Receives Jacob J. Wozniak Memorial Award
Danelle has been the Activities Coordinator at the Job Training & Day Programs division for the past four years. Her bubbly demeanor encourages those she supports to get involved and make progress on their goals. Danelle ensures the people Empower supports are integrated into the community through the Day Hab Without Walls program and the Family Support weekend services. Congratulations, Danelle, on this well-deserved award.
